Karis Art Gallery founder and artist Peter Karis was recently selected to be honored at a New York City gala.
Peter was chosen for a special award from ArtTour International Magazine. The "ATIM Masters Awards" is an annual award presentation event honoring 60 contemporary artists internationally. The ceremony will take place on April 27, 2018 at the Museum of Arts & Design in New York with an exhibition and art auction the following evening at the Rio Gallery.
Six paintings of Peter's will be featured in the publication ATIM's Top 60 Masters of Contemporary Art.
The Picket Fence Rose painting featured here measures 36 x 48 was selected for the exhibition.
Peter's daughter Marina and wife Maggie will be going to New York for the event and Marina will accept the award on her Dad's behalf. Together Karis Art Gallery and the Karis Family are very excited and proud of this recognition of Peter's beautiful work!
Additionally the publication ATIM Top 60 Masters will be dedicated to Peter's memory featuring a page in his memory for his contribution to the arts and his work that continues to live on.
Previously international recognition came to Karis when he was one of three American artists selected to exhibit at the Gallery Roseg outside of St. Moritz in Switzerland and he was also nominated to participate in the Annual International Biennial of Contemporary Art, which was held in the historic Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Italy.
The work of Peter Karis is featured in Karis Art Gallery located in the Village at Wexford.
